Ποιήματα του Lou Reed - Do Angels Need Haircuts?

Ένα βιβλίο με ποιήματα του Lou Reed, και τίτλο Do Angels Need Haircuts?, πολύτιμο για τους μελετητές του μεγάλου ροκ καλλιτέχνη.

Ο Reed, όπως και ο Morrison, ήταν περισσότερο ποιητής, παρά μουσικός.

Ως φοιτητής, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Syracuse University, υπήρξε ένθερμος θαυμαστής του Καθηγητή του Delmore Schwartz, ποιητή και συγγραφέα μικρών ιστοριών.

Ο ίδιος o Reed, είχε ομολογήσει, ότι το έργο του Schwartz, ιδιαίτερα το In Dreams Begin Responsibilities, ήταν βασικός του επηρεασμός, μεγαλύτερος και από εκείνον που του άσκησε αργότερα, ο  Andy Warhol.

Στο τραγούδι του My House, που υπάρχει στο άλμπουμ Blue Mask, δηλώνει τον μεγάλο θαυμασμό του για τον δάσκαλό του, Delmore Schwartz, και την αγάπη του για τα χρόνια στο Πανεπιστήμιο, που θεωρεί "σπίτι" του.

Το βιβλίο περιλαμβάνει ποιήματα του Lou Reed, που έγραψε όταν ήταν φοιτητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Syracuse University, εξαιρετικές φωτογραφίες του Mick Rock, και ένα σημείωμα της  Laurie Anderson. Περιλαμβάνει ακόμα, ένα cd με απαγγελίες του Lou Reed, και ένα γράμμα που έστειλε ο Reed στον Schwartz, αφού τελείωσε τις σπουδές του, το 1964.
